The weasels are coming!

Assuming Nyssa is still feeling well enough to travel... Summer is coming up to Cincinnati with the ferrets midweek and staying through next weekend. I can't wait! A week without travel is rare enough. Getting to spend several days with the ferrets and a good friend is extra special.

Speaking of Nyssa, Dr. Holly Weston, now our primary vet in North Carolina with the retirement of Dr. Dan Hudson, told Summer that the lymphoma has invaded Nyssa's liver and probably other internal organs as well. Despite this Nyssa seems to still be hanging in there and is still able to stand her ground if any other ferret dares challenge her. She is one tough old girl.

I hope to work on the ferrets' web site this week and add some recent pictures of the fantastic five. That means that Ella and Zephyr will finally get their own pages and that the memorial page will finally get finished. Sadly this also means I'll finally have to transfer Lady Ayeka to the memorial page.

Nyssa

Nyssa continues to struggle with lymphoma now six months after diagnosis. So far we can keep her comfy most of the time and she still runs around a little and guards her precious stuffed doggie. The disease has invaded her internal organs now and she's skinnier than I've ever seen her. I'm afraid she doesn't have much time left.
