Happy Thanksgiving From Chin Soon and the Other Ferrets
A very Happy Thanksgiving from Chin Soon and the other ferrets.
OK, Chin Soon probably doesn´t know anything about Thanksgiving. The holiday was a good excuse to share a new, cute picture of her standing up on the plexiglass barrier that keeps her out of the kitchen. Yes, she has a full winter coat. Chin Soon is doing just brilliantly since recovering from her surgery in April and is as playful and crazy as ever.
Ella and Zephyr are doing just fine too. I´ll have more cute pictures here and on their website soon.

Great picture. I glad Chin soon is okay now. Recently my Ferrets anniversary came up, but they don't know it. I think?
How long do you uselessly have a ferret before it gets sick or develops a disease? Just wondering.
Having a pet is useless? Since when?
How long do people live before they get sick or develop a disease? No way to tell, is there? The same answer applies to ferrets. I've had ones that were happy and healthy way into old age and others that had problems early.
I think Ben meant 'usually' rather than 'uselessly'. :)
So, any thoughts on the typical life span of a pet ferret who is healthy?
@Walter: Typical ferret lifespan is 6-9 years. I've had one reach his 10th birthday so far. Ella is right around eight and she's still doing really well.
The typical ferret will have one major health crisis during their lifetime requiring surgery and costing upwards or $1000. Ella, for example, had adrenal surgery five years ago last December. She's been fine ever since.
As always, your mileage may vary :)
